Ingredients
This delicious recipe is made with all wholesome and simple ingredients!
Greek yogurt, cream cheese, old fashioned oats, and fresh strawberries come together to make a breakfast that tastes like your favorite dessert.
Ingredient Notes
- Greek Yogurt: Plain greek yogurt is the base of this oatmeal recipe! It gives a creamy texture, adds some protein, and helps develop that tangy cheesecake flavor. Add 1/2 cup.
- Cream Cheese: For that true cheesecake flavor though, you’ll need 3 oz of full fat cream cheese. So yum!
- Almond Milk: Unsweetened almond milk is the liquid used in this recipe. But you could use any milk you’d like. 1 cup is perfect.
- Pure Maple Syrup: To give this recipe a delicious sweetness, add 2 tbsp of pure maple syrup to the oats themselves and 1 tbsp to the strawberry reduction. It adds the best rich flavor!
- Oats: I always use old fashioned oats in my recipes and this one is no different. Add 1 cup!
- Chia seeds: Chia seeds help thicken up these oats and create a great texture. They’re also full of nutrients. 1 tbsp is all you need.
- Strawberries: Strawberries are the star of this oatmeal show! You will need 1 cup of fresh juicy strawberries.
- Vanilla Extract: Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract here for that classic flavor.
- Salt: Lastly, add a pinch of salt to balance all the sweet and enhance the flavors.
Substitutions & Additions
Overnight oats are actually quite customizable! You can make a bunch of substitutions and additions to meet your personal preferences or needs.
Oats: Most kinds of oats should work in this recipe. I love old fashioned, but rolled oats and quick oats are easy swaps.
Greek Yogurt: You could replace the plain greek yogurt with a flavored yogurt. Perhaps vanilla or strawberry!
Pure Maple Syrup: Pure maple syrup can be swapped with any liquid sweetener of choice. Try agave syrup or honey.
Strawberries: This is of course a delicious strawberry cheesecake flavored recipe but you could easily make it blueberry or blackberry cheesecake. Just switch up the fresh fruit!
Strawberry Reduction: Don’t want to make the strawberry reduction? Use strawberry jam instead.
Additional Toppings: There are so many additional toppings that would make this recipe even more delicious! Try chocolate chips, peanut butter, almonds, or granola. Graham cracker crumbs would be great to really get that cheesecake flavor too!

★
When I used myfitnesspal calculated it at 450 calories per serving.
OK, but you don’t eat the whole recipe. This recipe makes about 4 servings, looking at the total amount the ingredients make? So… 362kcals/ serving? As a breakfast, that’s not an excessive number of calories. Too much fat (or calories) for you? Use light cream cheese (Neuchatel) and omit the chia seeds.
This looks so good! What a great breakfast meal prep for the week!
Thanks so much Suzanne!
