Ingredients in Peaches & Cream Oatmeal…

Peach oatmeal calls for a few wholesome ingredients! I’m talking fresh peaches, old fashioned oats, cinnamon, and a dash of cream. Dairy free creamer is also used here, which makes this healthy oatmeal recipe vegan! It’s also naturally sweetened and refined sugar free. What is not to love?

  • Oats: Old fashioned oats are used for this healthy peach oatmeal. You will need 1 cup!
  • Almond Milk: I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk in this recipe, but you can really use any milk you like or have on hand. Add 1 cup.
  • Dairy Free Creamer: For the cream in this peaches and cream oatmeal, dairy free creamer is used. This makes this oatmeal dairy free and vegan, but if you’re not into that you can totally use regular cream! 2 tbsp is all you need.
  • Pure Maple Syrup: Pure maple syrup is used here to add the perfect touch of natural sweetness. Add 2 tbsp!
  • Peaches: Fresh peaches are the true star of the show in this oatmeal recipe! You will need 1/2 cup of chopped peaches, so about 1 peach.
  • Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, & Salt: For all things delicious flavor add 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to this peach oatmeal.

Peaches & Cream Oatmeal FAQs…

Can I used canned peaches in this oatmeal?

I’m sure you could use canned peaches in this oatmeal although I haven’t tested it. However if you are using canned peaches, since they are already a little soft you may want to add them to the oatmeal after the oats have already been cooked. This they won’t get too mushy!

If you use canned peaches let me know how it goes!

Can I swap in a different fruit for peaches here?

You can totally swap in a different fruit for the peaches here. It would of course not be peaches and cream oatmeal anymore, but it would still be delicious! I think berries, banana, and apple would all be great choices. Strawberries would be extra fun because then you’d have strawberries and cream oatmeal. Which is another great flavor!

What kind of oats should I use in this healthy recipe?

I used old fashioned oats in this recipe. However, I’m sure other types of oats like quick cook, rolled, or even steel cut would work as well. You may just have to alter the cooking time a bit!
