Yes, these overnight oats are definitely healthy! Although I am not a nutritionist or registered dietitian, so do not take my words for absolute truth, I do believe that oatmeal is always a healthy breakfast option.

Chocolate Overnight Oats are packed with protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs. The oats themselves are also loaded with nutrients. They are whole grain and a great source of vitamins, minerals, & fiber. This oatmeal will also keep you full for hours!

Ingredients needed for this Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe…

All you need to make this easy breakfast recipe is less than 10 very simple ingredients! They’re all healthy, wholesome, and gluten free too.

  • Greek Yogurt: The base of this overnight oats recipe is greek yogurt. It adds a nice boost of protein and truly makes the creamiest oats. You will need 1 cup!
  • Almond Butter: Almond butter helps makes these oats extra filling and super creamy too. Add 1/4 cup.
  • Pure Maple Syrup: Pure maple syrup is absolutely one of my favorite refined sugar free sweeteners. It add such a rich & delicious flavor to any recipe! These oats call for 1/4 cup.
  • Almond Milk: The liquid used in these Chocolate Overnight Oats is almond milk, but you could really use any milk you’d like. You will need 1 1/2 cups!
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp of vanilla extract gives these oats the best flavor!
  • Oats: I used old fashioned oats in this recipe, but I’m sure any type of oats would work. Add 2 cups!
  • Cocoa Powder: Cocoa powder of course gives these chocolate oats their extra delicious chocolate flavor. 2 tbsp is perfect.
  • Chocolate Chips: Who doesn’t want chocolate chips in their morning oats? I know I do! Add 1/4 cup or however much you’d like.
  • Salt: Lastly, a pinch of salt helps to bring out all the flavors in these easy oats.
