Ingredients
This delicious treat is full of simple ingredients! Sweet peaches, crescent roll dough, cinnamon, and more.
Ingredient Notes
- Peaches: This easy summer dessert recipe calls for 2 cups chopped fresh peaches. Which is about 4 peaches!
- Crescent Roll Dough: The cobbler topping used here is crescent roll dough. It makes this recipe so incredibly easy! All you need is 1 tube. I love Pillsbury!
- Butter: Unsalted butter is used multiple times throughout this recipe. You’ll need 2 tbsp for the peach filling and 2 tbsp for the top crust.
- Sugar: This summer dish calls for both light brown sugar and white sugar. 1/2 cup brown sugar for the peach filling and 2 tsp white sugar to sprinkle on top of the crescent dough.
- Corn Starch: Corn starch helps thicken up the filling here. All you need is 1 tbsp!
- Cinnamon: 1 tsp cinnamon gives this baked dish the perfect warm spice and flavor.
- Vanilla Extract: You’ll also add 1 tsp vanilla extract for that classic sweet taste.
- Salt: Pinches of salt throughout this sweet treat balances and enhances the flavors. I also love to sprinkle a bit on top!
Substitutions & Additions
There are not too many substitutions and additions to be made in this easy dessert recipe! But I do have a few ideas if you’d like to make some changes.
Fruit: The peaches could be replaced with another fresh fruit of your choice here. Perhaps berries, apple, or cherries! Like my Crescent Roll Apple Cobbler.
Peach Filling: This tasty dessert uses a homemade peach filling. It is super easy and delicious! But if you’d like to make this recipe even more quick and easy, you could use a pre-made peach pie filling in its place.
Cinnamon Rolls: I have not tried this, but I’m drooling just thinking about it. A fun and delicious twist on this dish would be to use cinnamon rolls in place of the crescent roll dough!

How To Make This Recipe
This perfect peach dessert is such an easy recipe!
Made with pre-made refrigerated dough and a simple homemade peach filling, all you need is about 20 minutes to prepare this dish. Then pop it in the oven to bake for about 1 hour!
You’ll have a delicious smelling kitchen and delicious tasting dessert in no time.
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1: Set the oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Add the chopped peaches, unsalted butter, light brown sugar, water, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to a large pot or pan on the stove over medium heat. Combine. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes. The peaches should be soft, but not mushy.
Step 3: Meanwhile make the corn starch slurry. Thoroughly combine the corn starch and water in a small bowl.
Step 4: Next add the corn starch slurry to the peach filling. Combine thoroughly. Let the filling simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened. I like to taste the filling here and add extra salt or cinnamon if needed.
Step 5: Transfer the peach filling to a large baking dish. Spread in an even layer.
Step 6: Roll out the crescent roll dough and place carefully on top of the peaches. You may have to cut the dough to fit the shape of your dish. Spread the melted butter and white sugar on top of the crescent roll dough.
Step 7: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Place in the preheated oven and bake covered for 25 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil from the dish and bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Step 8: Remove the cobbler from the oven, let cool slightly, and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I like to add a sprinkle of salt too. Serve and enjoy!
Expert Tips
Use fresh summer peaches for the most delicious results! Ripe peaches too.
Cut the peaches into slices rather than chunks if you’re a peach slice kind of person.
Add pinches of salt to this recipe throughout. It enhances the flavor!
Add extra cinnamon if you’d like.
Line the baking dish with parchment paper or grease with nonstick cooking spray! A prepared baking dish will make cleanup so much easier.
Make sure to cover the baking dish with foil at first! Otherwise the dough will brown before it is cooked through.
Prepare the peach filling ahead of time. This will save you some time when you are preparing the full dessert. Perhaps if you want it for a weeknight dessert!

I like to use Pillsbury dough. You can use a crescent rolls dough or a crescent dough sheet!
This recipe is best served warm and fresh out of the oven! Add a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Ugh, delicious!
