Peanut Butter Crunch Cups
My two favorite chocolate candies growing up were Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Crunch Bars. Ugh, and Bunch a Crunch from the movie theater! The best! You could say I have a thing for crunchy textured or peanut butter filled candy. I combined my two candy preferences, and childhood favorites, into one easy homemade chocolate candy … Peanut Butter Crunch Cups!
Peanut Butter Crunch Cups are a delicious cross between a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup and a Crunch Bar! Made with semi sweet chocolate, Rice Krispies Cereal, and creamy peanut butter … this 4 ingredient, no-bake recipe is perfect for Halloween. These easy, homemade treats will be a hit with any chocolate or candy lover out there!

Ingredients needed for Peanut Butter Crunch Cups!
Peanut Butter Crunch Cups call for only 4 simple ingredients! The result is perfectly poppable and peanut butter filled chocolate treats that take no time at all. They are a super low effort treat … which you gotta love!
- Chocolate Chips: I love to use semi sweet mini chocolate chips in this homemade halloween candy recipe, but you can use any kind of chocolate you like. You’ll need 1 cup!
- Rice Krispies Cereal: Rice Krispies gives these peanut butter crunch cups the best crunchy texture …. just like a classic crunch bar! Add 1 cup.
- Peanut Butter: For the filling of these chocolate treats you will need about 1 tsp of peanut butter per cup or for easier measurement about 1/4 cup!
- Refined Coconut Oil: I melt down the chocolate in this recipe with a touch of refined coconut oil! This makes the chocolate smoother, thinner, and easier to work with. Use 1 tsp! You could also swap the coconut oil with a different oil of your choice.
Kitchen tools needed for Homemade Halloween Candy…
You do not need much in the way of kitchen tools for this simple, no-bake recipe! But you do need one very important one … a mini muffin tin.
A mini muffin tin is what gives these cute chocolate treats their shape and size. I just used a classic muffin tin, but you could use a rubber or silicon one like this to make your life even easier. The Homemade Peanut Butter Cups would just pop right out!
Other tools you’ll need!
- Rubber spatula
- Mixing bowl
- Measuring cups / spoons
How to make Homemade Peanut Butter Cups…
These treats are as simple as can be! They are no-bake and only require some mixing and freezing to make.
- Start by melting the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a double boiler over low heat or in the microwave. For the microwave, heat in 15 second intervals stirring in between each one.
- Once the chocolate has melted, transfer it to a mixing bowl and add in the cereal. Combine.
- Grab a mini muffin tin and add small spoonfuls of the chocolate mixture to each cup. You’ll want to use half the mixture.
- Next add about 1 tsp of peanut butter on top of the first chocolate layer. Try to keep the peanut butter in the center.
- Then add another spoonful of the chocolate cereal mixture to each treat. Spread out the mixture as best as you can in order to cover the peanut butter.
- Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes to set.
- Enjoy!
How to store this Peanut Butter Cup Recipe…
Store Peanut Butter Crunch Cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will last about 2 weeks!
They’re the perfect treat to have on hand when that sweet tooth kicks in. Just grab from the fridge and enjoy!
