Ingredients

Ingredient Notes
- Naan Bread: Naan bread serves as the flatbread crust here. It works perfectly! You will need 2. Here is my favorite kind.
- Chicken: This flatbread recipe calls for 1 cup cooked chicken. I recommend using rotisserie chicken! It is such an easy, no-hassle option.
- Buffalo Sauce: Can’t have buffalo chicken pizzas without buffalo sauce. You will need 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp total. I always use Frank’s Red Hot!
- Mozzarella Cheese: 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese makes this flatbread super cheesy and delicious.
- Onions: This easy dinner calls for two types of onion! Red onion is baked on the flatbread and green onion is a tasty garnish. You’ll need 2 tbsp of each.
- Garlic Powder: Sprinkle these flatbreads with 1 tsp garlic powder for some extra flavor.
- Ranch Dressing: Ranch dressing is key in anything spicy buffalo chicken. This recipe is no different! You’ll drizzle the finished naan pizzas with 2 tbsp.
- Salt & Pepper: Lastly, season with salt and black pepper as always.
Substitutions & Additions
This delicious flatbread recipe is quite customizable! You can make a bunch of substitutions or additions to meet your personal preferences, tastes, or needs.
Crust: I think naan is the perfect vessel for flatbread pizza, but you can totally switch it up and use a different crust. You could try this recipe with pita bread or even classic pizza dough.
Chicken: I love using shredded rotisserie chicken here, but any type of cooked chicken breasts will work. You could even try thighs if you’d like and use my Pan Seared Chicken Thighs.
Cheese: Cheese is where you can really go crazy! Any cheese would be absolutely delicious – like cheddar, pepper jack, or blue cheese crumbles.
Seasonings: The seasonings are super simple here – just garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Feel free to add anything extra you’d like. I think onion powder, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, and dried parsley would all be delicious.
Spice: Add some extra hot sauce to up the spice!
Dressing: I went with ranch dressing for this recipe, but you could always go for the other buffalo chicken classic – blue cheese dressing. Or better yet, both!
Sauce: Don’t like buffalo sauce? Barbecue sauce would be a fantastic replacement.
Fresh Herbs: Fresh parsley or chives would be tasty additions here.
