Air Fried Ravioli

Ingredients needed…

Air Fried Ravioli calls for only 5 simple ingredients! It’s just about the easiest party appetizer out there.

  • Frozen Ravioli: The main ingredient in this recipe is ravioli of course! I used frozen cheese ravioli, but I think any variation of frozen ravioli should work. This recipe calls for about 30 raviolis!
  • Panko Breadcrumbs: Air Fried Ravioli is coated in seasoned Panko breadcrumbs. You’ll need 2 cups! If you don’t have pre-seasoned crumbs you can season plain ones yourself.
  • Eggs: 2 eggs are used to help the breadcrumbs stick!
  • Marinara Sauce: You’ll need 1 cup of jarred marinara sauce for delicious dipping. You could always swap this with the sauce of your choice!
  • Salt & Pepper: Add however much salt & pepper to your breadcrumbs as you’d like. It adds an extra oomph of flavor!
  • Parmesan Cheese & Fresh Basil: These two are optional, but of course tasty. I love topping the fried ravioli with some grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil. I totally recommend!

How to make Air Fried Ravioli…

This recipe calls for both minimal ingredients and effort to make! All you do is bread the ravioli and pop in the air fryer. They come out crispy, crunchy, and oh-so-delicious!

  1. Add the breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper to one bowl. Combine.
  2. Next add the eggs to a separate bowl and whisk.
  3. Coat each ravioli evenly in the egg mixture and then coat in the breadcrumbs.  Press the breadcrumbs carefully into the ravioli.  (I recommend placing all the breaded ravioli on a baking tray before frying.)
  4. Pre-heat the air fryer to 400 for 5 minutes.  Place the breaded ravioli in a single layer in the basket, spray with olive oil, and fry for 7 min.  Flip halfway through if you’d like.  Depending on the size of your air fryer, you will have to do multiple rounds.
  5. Warm the marinara sauce up on the stovetop over low heat or in the microwave.
  6. Top the air fried ravioli with grated parmesan cheese, fresh basil, and then dip in the marinara.
  7. Enjoy!

Air Fryer Frozen Fried Ravioli tips…

Follow the tips below for the perfect Air Fried Frozen Ravioli each and every time:

  • Thoroughly bread the ravioli … both the egg & breadcrumb coating!
  • Use 2 separate forks for breading! Keep one in the egg bowl and one in the breadcrumb bowl. This helps prevent mixing and clumping.
  • Add extra seasoning to the breadcrumbs if you’d like. Garlic powder and Italian seasoning would be delicious!
  • Put the ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer to ensure ultimate crisp and crunch.
  • Spray with olive oil … Again, the crisp!

How to serve this Easy Appetizer Recipe…

I recommend serving Air Fried Ravioli with some parmesan cheese and fresh basil on top. Then of course include a dipping sauce … I went with marinara, but vodka sauce would be incredible!

You could also serve with my Homemade Healthy Tomato Sauce.

Can I store leftovers?

Unfortunately, I do not recommend storing these fried ravioli as leftovers. They simply loose a lot of their crunch and deliciousness when placed in the fridge!

If you are not serving these for a crowd, I simply recommend halving or quartering the recipe.
