Tangy, Creamy, & Delicious Dip

I absolutely love Mediterranean and Greek cuisine! Nothing beats the light ingredients, aromatic herbs, and fresh herbs.

One of my favorite dishes is the simple, yet incredibly versatile and delicious tzatziki.

Cucumber & Dill Tzatziki is made with creamy yogurt, cucumber, fresh dill, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. The ingredients come together to make a tangy, garlicky, and flavorful dip.

A dip that I could eat with anything and everything! Truly.

It goes fabulously with crackers, pita, and fresh veggies! But also is an excellent topping to any Mediterranean inspired main dish.

Not to mention – it is healthy, high protein, and takes 10 minutes to make. What is not to love?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is tzatziki?

Tzatziki is a dip or sauce typically found in Southeast Europe and the Middle East. It is usually made of strained yogurt, cucumber, fresh cucumber, garlic, olive oil, and salt.

Tzatziki is often served as a cold appetizer or side dish with bread, eggplant, or zucchini.

How should I remove the extra liquid from the cucumber for this recipe?

My favorite way to remove the excess moisture from the cucumber for this recipe is to use paper towels.

First, I grate the cucumber finely. Then I wrap the grated cucumber in paper towel and simply squeeze out most, if not all, of the liquid.

Just be careful to not let any of the paper towel get mixed into the dip!

First it can be an appetizer dip for crackers, veggie sticks, and pita bread.
