Even though this has protein and veggies, does anyone do a side dish with this?
I typically serve this over rice! If you’re ok with double carbs
This was delicious! The sweet potato & zucchini pair so nice together. The sweet potato added just the perfect amount of sweetness. This will be going into the meal rotation.

Hi, really enjoyed this dish! Perfectly balanced for sweet, savory and filling. Any suggestions for a different cheese?
When I originally read the recipe I thought that feta would be a nice, creamy and salty cheese for this dish! Bright in color contrast too!
We love this! On try #3 we added butternut squash. So GOOD! We’ve forwarded this recipe to so many friends and family. Perfect for fall!
Thank you so much Jill!! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed! The butternut squash sounds delicious 🙂

Easy to make. Pretty good! I added mushrooms and next time I’ll add onions, only because we love them. The sweet potatoes really make this. Very flavorful. I will definitely make it again!

This was a very tasty recipe. I had to use ground beef, and added a chopped onion while browning. I also had to substitute shredded Asiago for the Parmesan. It was so tasty, and easy to make. We’ll definitely be having it again!
★★★★★
Super healthy and delicious, thank you
This looks so good! I wouldn’t have thought to put these flavors together!
Thank you! They work deliciously together 🙂
Thanks for sharing! Does it keep long?
Of course! Yes, it should keep for about 1 week in the fridge.
I must say, this was excellent. I was really worried about it being dry but it was not at all. Seasoned absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing
Hi Kari! So glad you enjoyed!! 🙂
Great recipe! I added a can of black beans to stretch it for 2 nights. Tasted just as good, or even better than the first night!
★★★★★
Thanks so much Tammy! Love the addition 🙂
Could you use frozen sweet potatoes instead?
I made this last night and it’s so simple yet absolutely amazing! My whole family enjoyed, and I will definitely be making this again. Thank you!

This recipe was delicious & husband approved! He had never liked sweet potatoes before and asked me to make sweet potatoes the way they are made in this recipe more often!
★★★★★
We have this weekly now it’s one of our favorite recipes & it’s healthy! My husband even shared with his truck driver coworkers & they too love it! TY! 😋 it’s what’s for dinner tonight
★★★★★
This recipe turned out great and I even changed it. Soccer ran late and I didn’t prepare before. I chopped the sweet potatoes and pressure cooked for 10 minutes and used a frozen microwavable bag of green and yellow zucchini. I convinced and put in the oven for 5 minutes with the cheese. SO GOOD and so helpful with my time crunch to eat and get kids to bed. Thank you!
★★★★★
I’ve made this a few times now! It’s the perfect healthy family dinner for busy nights as it’s simple yet so savory!
★★★★★
Delicious!
Can this be frozen for 3+ months for an easy postpartum meal?
Going on 8 months!

Hi Emily! Yes, I believe so. I have not personally frozen it for that long, but I do think it would work.
I made this for my family last night and everyone loved it! I was anticipating a large amount of leftovers, as there are only 3 people in my family, but we ate all of it. I can’t wait to make this again. It is definitely a new family favorite. Thank you!

Hi there! Can this be made in a slow cooker or crockpot?
This is my first time EVER leaving a review on a recipe. Considering the countless times I’ve made this dish, I felt it was only right to leave my 5-star review. A wonderfully healthy, filling, and delicious meal. Thank you for sharing!!
★★★★★
Oh my gosh thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoy the recipe 🙂
Absolutely delicious! Added onion and fresh garlic to my ground Turkey when cooking. I also like to add worcestershire to the ground Turkey (makes it taste more beefy!). And I topped it with fresh cut parsley! This was a delicious dish! Wish it would let me post my pic!
★★★★★
Thanks Kireen! So glad you enjoyed!
Can you tell me the severs size for meal prep?
Could you air fry the sweet potato’s instead of the oven?
I admit I was skeptical. Just looking at the ingredients, I thought it was going to fall flat. I WAS WRONG!! It totally works!! It’s a new staple on our dinner menu. Thank you for sharing!!
★★★★★
Have you made this into a freezer meal before?
I have not, but I think it could work! 🙂
Any recommendations for freezing?
What size pan do you use? Does it matter in the cooking?
Thank you!
I have used multiple different sized pans! It doesn’t really matter. I have done 9X9 and 9X13 and the results have been pretty much the same! 🙂
This was delicious, thank you!
Is this meal able to be frozen?
★★★★★
Made this for dinner, and SO YUMMY!! Delicious and nutritious. Definitely going to make this again.
Thanks Lisa! I’m so glad you enjoyed 🙂
I made this last night and I would say it’s 4 servings. I added onions to the turkey and also some left over chopped up mushrooms. As well, I just put the cubed sweet potatoes in skillet with a little olive oil and sauted them only because I just didn’t have the time to oven roast them. You could easily eat make this as two servings because, although it’s not saucey, it is very tasty and you know it’s good for you. Thanks for the recipe!
I’ve never been so happy to have found a recipe before until I found this one! I’ve been making this now for over a year and it’s in constant rotation at least twice a month. It combines a great mix of protein, veggie, carbs and CHEESE! My husband and I both love this dish since it doesn’t feel heavy, yet still feels hearty and healthy while still tasty. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!
★★★★★
Loved this recipe it was so flavorful and quick to make.
★★★★★
My daughter and I love this recipe. I have used it topped over scrambled eggs also. 😋

★★★★★
Honestly this is crazy how simple yet delicious this is! I’ve made it 4-5 times now and both my fiancé and I love it for a quick and easy meal. Thank you!!
★★★★★
This was almost gone after one night! The rosemary flavor on the sweet potatoes were DIVINE. I will be making this again and again!
★★★★★
YUM! I made this recipe with ground chicken because I prefer the texture. I also used avocado oil instead of olive oil since It has a higher smoke point. It was so delicious! Next time I would also add onions. This recipe is healthy, filling, and so flavorful!
★★★★★
How much salt do you use? I want to make sure it has enough but not too salty.
To be honest I wasn’t expecting much from this recipe – so few ingredients and so simple but WOW. This was SO tasty!! Everyone loved it. It will be going on my short list for regular meal planning.
So I have never made a comment even on a recipe, however I feel like you deserve one. I have only made this recipe 10 times plus. I’m always sharing it. This recipe is super delicious. I tend to add way more rosemary and cheese just because I love it! Great Jon on such a tasty and healthy recipe. Currently making it as I leave this comment! Yum Yum!
★★★★★
We love making this! We add sriracha and rice sometimes too.
Do you ever freeze it after baking? Wondering how it saves and reheats.
★★★★★
Do you put the uncooked zucchini in with the ground turkey and baked sweet potatoes and cook it for ten minutes? It doesn’t need longer to cook? Just making sure…thank you!
Yes, you put the uncooked zucchini with the cooked turkey and potatoes! You’ll bake for 10 minutes, add the cheese and olive oil, and bake for another 10 minutes. It is all it needs to cook through! Hope this helps! 🙂
Thank you!
One of my favorite meals! This is part of my monthly meal rotation and a family favorite. Only change I make is to add a thinly sliced red onion in with the sweet potatoes at the beginning of the baking process. My husband and son are excited every time this is for dinner, and there are plenty of leftovers for 3 lunches for me. Thanks for the recipe!
★★★★★
I wasn’t sure if we would like this with the sweet potatoes, but I was looking for something different to try. My husband and I both really liked it. I did add cauliflower that I needed to cook ( I seasoned it and added it when the sweet potoes had about 10 minutes left to cook their first time in). I also doubled the turkey because I wanted to use all of what I had.
I will definitely be making it again.
Thanks for the recipe
★★★★★
Thank you for the great review! I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe! 🙂
Love this recipe! I would add cooked onion to the ground turkey
Hi Rachel! I’m so glad you enjoy it!! The onion sounds delish. 🙂
Using more sweet potatoes in my cooking. Decided to add some spaghetti sauce for a tomato element. Turned out wonderful. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
★★★★★
My family really enjoyed this. I did switch the rosemary and used Italian seasoning instead, then realized i had a Roasted Garlic, Rosemary & Sea Salt spice blend and used that on the ground turkey itself. I also threw a little bit of Cilantro on my serving which I enjoyed twice 🙂
This is Really good, and simple! I don’t use any added salt – but did add 2 chopped green onions. My steak-and-potato loving husband loved it too! 😃
★★★★★
Hi Karen!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe!! Thanks for the great review 🙂
Delicious! Really glad to have tried this. My husband had three helpings. However, I did not have rosemary so I used sage seasoning instead. Will definitely make this again.

★★★★★
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed! 🙂
What are the calories per serving?
This was great! I made it with ground chicken. Next time I’ll add some onion and fresh garlic. My husband enjoyed it as well. Thanks for the recipe.
★★★★
I made this for supper tonight and it was delicious! The garlic powder and rosemary were perfect.
Love this recipe! I used only 1 zucchini and added 1 red bell pepper, which gave it some nice color. Instead of adding 2 additional teaspoons of olive oil before adding the parmesan, I added a little chicken broth, which moistened everything & gave the dish a nice flavor.
This was delicious! Super simple and full of flavor, will be making again!
★★★★★
I have made this recipe a few times. With it being over 100 outside, I opted to cook the sweet potatoes in the instant pot, sprinkled with some seasoning (chopped into 1” cubes” and placed in a steamer basket). Cooked for 4 minutes – quick release. Cooked the turkey meat with onions. Came out great and didn’t have to have the oven on so long.
★★★★★
I don’t normally post comments, but the flavor and smell in this recipe really packs an amazing flavor combo. I did make a few tweaks like adding minced onion and garlic and instead of Parmesan, I added sauerkraut to the last minute for bake. I happen to love baked sauerkraut, so perfect for me! Will add to my rotation!!
★★★★★
Yum!! This looks so good! Do you by chance have the macros for this recipe? Forgive me if I missed them above!
Can the Ground Turkey Sweet Potato Bake be frozen? If so, should it be frozen before or after it is cooked? I’m always looking for freezer meal options. Thank you!
I’ve made this recipe several times and my whole family loves it. Im making a bunch of freezer meals for a friend and am wondering if I can make this and freeze it? and if so, is there anything I should change in the prep process? thank you!
★★★★★
Very impressive! Easy to make and very delicious!
★★★★★
So delicious and easy! Thanks!
★★★★★
This was a decent dinner, but it didn’t live up the hype of the comments. Maybe it would have more depth of flavor if the zucchini was roasted the last ten minutes with the sweet potatoes with some seasoning. Just a very OK meal, but I do appreciate the simplicity.
★★★
LOVED this simple, yet flavorful recipe! Will be putting on rotation – thank you!!
★★★★★
This was very good. Takes a little time to make, but easy. Nice to find a casserole recipe that is healthy. Rosemary definitely added a nice flavor, so don’t skip using that!
★★★★★
Just tried this ground turkey and sweet potato bake, and it was a hit at my house! Such a cozy and nutritious meal, perfect for a chilly evening. The sweet potatoes added a lovely sweetness that complemented the savory turkey perfectly. Thanks for a great recipe that will definitely be making more appearances on our dinner table!
★★★★★
Made this recipe over the weekend & it was excellent! Didn’t realize I was out of rosemary until I was chopping the sweet potatoes. I used Kinder’s Buttery Burger Blend in place of it. Reheated some the next morning & topped it with an over easy egg – it’s great for breakfast too!

Can you tell me how many weight watchers points are in this recipe?
Carb & fiber g plz
This is so similar to my turkey sweet potatoes hash. The only thing that is not in it is the zucchini. I serve it with a fried egg on top. I bet the zucchini takes it to a different level. I’m going to add it next time. Thanks so much for sharing.
Such a hearty and healthy meal

Love this recipe but would like to know the nutritional information. Protein, fat etc. thanks.
