Ingredients needed…
Baked Chicken Fajitas call for only a few simple ingredients. Chicken, fajita veggies, and lots of flavorful spices for a homemade seasoning!
- Chicken Breast: You of course need chicken for chicken fajitas! This recipe calls for 1 lb of chicken breasts cut into strips.
- Peppers, Onion, & Garlic: All the classic fajita veggies – bell pepper, onion, and garlic. You’ll need 3 bell peppers (I like to do 1 of each color), 1 small yellow onion, and 3 garlic cloves.
- Homemade Fajita Seasoning: These Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas are made with a delicious & flavorful homemade fajita seasoning. Add 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper.
- Olive Oil: 3 tbsp of olive oil is used here to coat the chicken & veggies! It helps to make things perfectly juicy and saucy.
- Lime: Lastly, the juice of 1/2 a lime is the perfect addition to these fajitas. It adds such a fresh and yummy flavor!

Healthy Sheet Pan Chicken Fajita tips…
Follow the tips below for the perfect chicken fajitas each and every time!
- Prep veggies beforehand: If you are looking to make this easy dinner even easier I highly recommend you prep your veggies beforehand. If you slice the peppers & onions and mince the garlic at the beginning of the week you’ll save yourself a good 15-20 minutes when it actually comes to making this meal. It becomes an even quicker weeknight family dinner recipe!
- Adjust seasonings: I think the combination of chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper is absolutely perfect as is here! But feel free to add more or less of any spices to your liking.
- Toss chicken & veggies: Tossing the chicken and veggies halfway through the cooking is an important step. It ensures everything gets cooked evenly!
- Broil the chicken: Broiling for a few minutes at the end helps get the chicken in this fajita recipe a little crispy and golden … which I love & I think you will too!
How to best serve this recipe…
I love to serve sheet pan fajitas just as I would any other fajitas! On some flour or corn tortillas with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese, and fresh cilantro. So dang delicious!
You could also serve this simple meal over rice or eat the chicken & veggies by themselves for a lower carb option.
Storing & re-heating Baked Chicken Fajitas…
Store Baked Chicken Fajitas in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will last for about 1 week!
To re-heat simply pop the chicken & veggies in the microwave for 30-60 seconds. Then add to your tortillas or enjoy however you’d like!
