Hello friends and welcome to Wellness by Kay! My name is Kayla and I’m a 19 year old college student at Northeastern University in Boston. If i’m not at school, i’m at home on Long Island with my family. I’m currently studying to be an Industrial Engineer, but if i’m not doing math homework you can most likely find me in the kitchen. I absolutely love creating in the kitchen and am so excited to finally have a place for all those creations to live!
My love for healthy cooking and baking started years ago, around the time I started high school. I started an instagram about two years ago, @wellnessbykay, and have been snapping and sharing photos of my meals on there ever since. I have recently evolved from my in-the-moment meal shots and have found a passion for recipe developing. I love using wholesome ingredients to make delicious foods, and then share those foods. I don’f follow any specific diet, however I focus on real whole food recipes that taste good, while also making me feel good. But most of all, i love sharing my creations with friends and family, and now all of you!
My philosophy on all things wellness is simple. I am all about feeding the body and the soul. To me, this means eating nutritiously dense foods, but also the cake and the pizza. It means getting a good sweat in a couple times a week, but never forcing myself and always listening to my body. It means not obsessing over healthy living because that is truly the opposite of healthy living. I believe that the most important part of healthy living, is just that, living.
It has taken me years to get to this point, but I have learned a lot along the way. I hope to share some of this with you all, along with some good food of course. If that is what your looking for, you are in the right place and i am so happy that you are here! Thank you so much for stopping by!
