- 2 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes, basil & sea salt if possible (see Expert Tips)
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 6–8 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp fresh basil, roughly chopped
- 2 tsp white sugar
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Add the olive oil, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning to a large pot or skillet on the stove over medium heat.
- Sauté for 3-5 minutes until the garlic is soft and fragrant.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, fresh basil, and white sugar to the pot. Season with salt and pepper. Combine.
- Simmer on low-medium heat for 20 minutes.
- Add finishing touches of salt and pepper.
- Serve with pasta or add to you favorite dishes. Enjoy!
