Easy Chocolate Chip Muffins are the perfect classic muffin! These homemade muffins are light & fluffy, have beautiful domed muffin tops, and are studded with mini chocolate chips. They’re lightly sweetened, made from scratch with simple ingredients, and will be a favorite among both kids and adults alike!

- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, semi-sweet
Instructions
- Set the oven to 350 degrees.
- Add the butter, white sugar, and light brown sugar to a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until light & fluffy.
- Next add in the eggs one by one, beating until just combined after each addition.
- In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Then add the flour mixture and milk alternatively to the batter and beat with the electric mixture after each addition. Start and end with the flour for the best results.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract.
- Next grease or line a muffin tin. Add about ice cream scoop sized spoonfuls of batter to each muffin. Top with more chocolate chips and a sprinkle of sugar.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
