Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Skillet
- 1/2 cup salted butter
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Caramel Drizzle
- 2/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup half & half
- 1 tbsp butter
- salt
Instructions
- Set the oven to 350 degrees.
- Start by melting the butter and chocolate chips together until smooth. Add to a large mixing bowl.
- Next add in the white sugar and vanilla extract. Combine evenly.
- Then in a separate bowl beat the eggs with an electric mixer for 1-2 minutes until foamy & a bit bubbly. This helps create the crinkly top on the brownies. Add the eggs to the brownie batter and stir until just combined.
- Next add in the dry ingredients – cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Combine evenly.
- Transfer the batter to a greased 8 in cast iron skillet. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Once you remove the skillet brownie from the oven, work on the caramel drizzle. Melt the brown sugar, half & half, butter, and a pinch of salt together. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce the heat & let simmer for a few minutes until it thickens.
- Serve the skillet with vanilla ice cream & the caramel drizzle. Enjoy!
