Bananas and Cream Oatmeal is an easy and delicious breakfast recipe! Made with old fashioned oats, banana, light brown sugar, and milk … these stovetop oats are perfectly sweet, creamy, and thick. This super simple recipe is bound to be your new go-to oatmeal!


  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 tbsp heavy cream, or half & half
  • 1 banana, (1/2 mashed, 1/2 sliced)
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon


  1. Add the old fashioned oats, almond milk, and water to a small pot on the stovetop.
  2. Bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes until your desired thickness.  Stirring intermittently.
  3. Remove the cooked oats from the heat.  Stir in the mashed 1/2 banana, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and cream.
  4. Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl.  Top with remaining banana slices, peanut butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  5. Enjoy!
