Vegan Creamy Tomato Pasta

Vegan Creamy Tomato Pasta is made with fresh garlic & shallot, rigatoni pasta, vegan butter, and dairy free creamer. This homemade plant-based pasta dish is cozy, light, and delicious all at the same time. Top with fresh basil and parmesan cheese (vegan if needed!) for the ultimate date night or easy weeknight dinner!


  • 16 oz pasta
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup dairy free creamer
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt & pepper
  • fresh basil


  1. Start by cooking your pasta according to the package instructions.
  2. Next chop the shallot finely & mince the garlic cloves.
  3. Then add the shallot & garlic to a pan on the stove over medium heat with the vegan butter. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft & fragrant.
  4. Next add the tomato paste and sauté for another 1 minute.
  5. Add the tomato sauce, salt, & pepper.  Turn the heat to low and simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Then add in the dairy free creamer, Italian seasoning, and more salt & pepper to taste.  Mix until combined evenly.
  7. Drain your pasta & add to the tomato sauce.  Toss until all the pasta is covered.  Season with extra salt, pepper, or Italian seasoning to taste.
  8. Serve with parmesan cheese (vegan if needed!) & fresh basil.
  9. Enjoy!
