Puppy Chow Mixture
- 4 cups rice Chex
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
Coating
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- First add the peanut butter and powdered sugar to a bowl. Heat in the microwave in 10 second intervals, stirring in between each one, until melted and smooth.
- Next place the cereal in a large bowl. Crush it into small pieces, leaving some bigger pieces as well.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture into the cereal. Combine. Place the mixture into the refrigerator to chill for about 30 minutes.
- Next add the chocolate chips to a double boiler. Melt.
- Remove the cereal mixture from the fridge. Roll the mixture into about 1 1/2 tbsp sized balls. You should be able to make about 18 truffles.
- Coat the balls in the melted chocolate. Then place in the refrigerator for the chocolate coating to harden.
- Next add the powdered sugar (1/2 cup) to a bowl. Once the chocolate has hardened, roll the truffles in the powdered sugar.
