Description

This 4 ingredient healthy sweet treat recipe is just about as good as it gets when it comes to better-for-you desserts! Made with only Medjool dates, peanut butter, dark chocolate, and flakey salt … this quick and easy recipe is a delicious bite that will make you feel just as good as it tastes. Delicious and nutritious!


Ingredients

  • 12 oz Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1.75 – 3.5 oz dark chocolate, depends on how much you’d like
  • Sea salt flakes


Instructions

  1. Spread the pitted dates out on a parchment paper lined sheet pan or plate.
  2. Fill each date with peanut butter to your liking. 1/2 cup of peanut butter was perfect for me and my amount of dates, but feel free to use more or less.
  3. Next melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler. (1.75 oz dark chocolate should be enough for a light drizzle on each date.)
  4. Drizzle each peanut butter stuffed date with melted dark chocolate.
  5. Add of  sprinkle of flakey sea salt to each date quickly after the melted chocolate has been added.
  6. Place the chocolate peanut butter dates in the fridge to set for about 15-30 minutes.
