Ground Beef Fajitas are a quick, easy, and delicious weeknight dinner recipe! Made with lean ground beef, peppers, onions, and a homemade fajita seasoning – this dish is colorful, flavorful, and comes together in about 30 minutes. Serve in tortillas or a rice bowl with all of your favorite toppings for a meal the whole family will love!


  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, separated
  • 1 large yellow onion (or 2 small), sliced
  • 3 bell peppers, sliced
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • For serving: tortillas, cheese, sour cream, and your favorite toppings.


  1. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to a large skillet or pan on the stove over medium-high heat.
  2. Once hot, add the ground beef.  Break it apart and cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned.
  3. Next add in the garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper.  Combine thoroughly. Remove the seasoned beef from the pan.
  4. Add the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil to the skillet with the peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté the vegetables for 10 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
  5. Add the fresh lime juice and cooked ground beef back into the pan with the fajita veggies.  Cook until everything is warmed throughout and the flavors are combined.
  6. Serve with tortillas and your favorite toppings.  Enjoy!
