Easy & Healthy Asian Turkey Meatballs

These Easy & Healthy Asian Turkey Meatballs are so simple and so flavorful!  The perfect easy weeknight dinner or meal prep.  They are also gluten free, grain free, and refined sugar free!

Ingredients

Scale

Turkey Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (this adds an authentic flavor, but if you don’t have you could use olive oil!)
  • 6 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine the ground turkey, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Roll the ground turkey mixture into balls. The mixture should make 12 meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs on a parchment paper or foil lined baking tray.
  5. Bake for 15-18 minutes. I would just check one of the meatballs to make sure they are cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking combine the tamari, sesame oil, honey, and garlic powder in a pan on medium heat.
  7. Remove the meatballs from the oven and place in the pan.
  8. Simmer the meatballs in the sauce.  Flip the meatballs after a few minutes.  Continue to simmer until the meatballs are browned and crisped to your liking and the sauce has thickened a little!
  9. I recommend serving with brown jasmine rice and some stir fry vegetables. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You could swap the tamari with soy sauce and sesame oil with avocado or olive oil.
