Ingredients
Scale
Turkey Meatballs
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- salt
Sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil (this adds an authentic flavor, but if you don’t have you could use olive oil!)
- 6 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- 6 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Set the oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine the ground turkey, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Roll the ground turkey mixture into balls. The mixture should make 12 meatballs.
- Place the meatballs on a parchment paper or foil lined baking tray.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes. I would just check one of the meatballs to make sure they are cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking combine the tamari, sesame oil, honey, and garlic powder in a pan on medium heat.
- Remove the meatballs from the oven and place in the pan.
- Simmer the meatballs in the sauce. Flip the meatballs after a few minutes. Continue to simmer until the meatballs are browned and crisped to your liking and the sauce has thickened a little!
- I recommend serving with brown jasmine rice and some stir fry vegetables. Enjoy!
Notes
- You could swap the tamari with soy sauce and sesame oil with avocado or olive oil.
