Mississippi Chicken (Easy Crock Pot Recipe!)

4 from 1 reviews

Slow-cooked Mississippi Chicken is my new favorite easy and delicious dinner recipe! All you need is 7 simple ingredients, 10 minutes of your time (honestly, the most you’ll do is chop an onion), and then, toss everything into your crockpot, and bam. You’re left with savory, saucy, zesty, and buttery chicken! It is fall-apart, melt-in-your-mouth, tender perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lb chicken breasts, boneless skinless
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 oz packet au jus gravy mix packet
  • 1 oz packet ranch seasoning
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/3 cup chicken stock
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Add the chicken breasts, diced onion, pepperoncini peppers, and chicken stock to the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch seasoning evenly over the the chicken. Then place the butter on top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. Shred the cooked chicken with two forks and combine with the sauce.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
