Description

Creamy Herb Chicken is an easy and delicious 30 minute dinner recipe! Made with boneless skinless chicken breasts, chicken broth, half & half, and tons of fresh herbs … this weeknight meal is incredibly flavorful, rich, and creamy. It is the perfect recipe for the whole family to enjoy!

Cream Sauce

  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 5 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup half & half

Instructions

  1. Start by cleaning and preparing the chicken breasts. Beat the chicken pieces with a meat mallet or heavy kitchen tool to tenderize and create an even thickness.
  2. Next coat the chicken breasts with the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.  Rub into both sides of the chicken.
  3. Then add the olive oil to the bottom of a large pan or skillet over medium-high heat.  Once the oil is heated, add the chicken breasts to the pan.  Fry on one side until golden brown, flip, and fry the other side.  This should take about 5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  5. Next add the butter, garlic, rosemary, sage, and thyme to the same pan.  Sauté for 1-2 minutes, being careful to not burn the garlic.
  6. Then add the chicken broth and half & half.  Combine.
  7. Place the chicken breast into the creamy sauce.  Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, to ensure the chicken is fully cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
  8. Top the final dish with more fresh herbs.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
