Description

Start your day on a deliciously balanced note with my Cottage Cheese Avocado Toast recipe. Between the protein-packed dairy, heart-healthy fat from avocado, and tangy, prebiotic sourdough toast, this hearty breakfast is sure to satisfy even the deepest hunger.


Ingredients

  • 1 slice sourdough bread, toasted
  • ½ cup cottage cheese
  • ½ avocado
  • Honey
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Sea salt
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

 

  1. First spread the cottage cheese on top of the toasted slice of sourdough bread.
  2. Next slice the avocado. Cut the avocado in half. Place one half of the avocado face down on a cutting board. Carefully peel the skin off of the avocado. Then cut the avocado into thin slices and gently spread them out. Place the avocado slices on top of the cottage cheese. 
  3. Add the honey, fresh lemon juice, salt, and red pepper flakes to taste.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
