Apple Crisp Baked Apples is the best fall recipe! This easy dessert is made with a balance of classic and healthy ingredients like oats, almond flour, butter, and coconut sugar. Gluten free and absolutely delicious when enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

- 3 apples
- 1/3 cup oats
- 2/3 cup almond flour
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- salt
- olive oil (spray or regular)
Instructions
- Set the oven to 350 degrees.
- Chop the apples in half and remove the core. Removing the core is a little difficult, but I found it most efficient to cut around the core with a knife and then pull it out with your fingers. Set aside.
- Combine the oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and a sprinkle of salt.
- Then add in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Combine.
- Spray the open side of the apple halves with some olive oil spray or rub in olive oil. You could also use some melted butter here.
- Spread the crisp topping mixture evenly over all the apple halves. Sprinkle with some extra cinnamon!
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm with some vanilla ice cream on top. Enjoy!!
