Ingredients needed for White Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites!

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites require only a handful of simple ingredients. 6 to be exact! Plus these treats are on the healthier side – they’re made with lots of wholesome ingredients like natural peanut butter, pure maple syrup, and homemade oat flour.

  • Pretzels: Your classic mini pretzel bites are used here to make the perfect sandwiches. You’ll need about 40 pretzels!
  • Peanut Butter: This recipe is made with a natural and runny peanut butter, with only peanuts and salt as the ingredients. Other types of peanut butter will not work with the same ratios in this recipe! Add 1 cup.
  • Pure Maple Syrup: I love to use pure maple syrup in my sweet treats! It is a delicious refined sugar free sweetener that adds the perfect sweetness here. 1/4 cup is just the right amount!
  • Oat Flour: Oat flour is used to thicken up the peanut butter filling in these bites. I make my own oat flour as described below, but you can also buy it at most grocery stores! You will need 3/4 cup.
  • White Chocolate Chips: I am a big white chocolate fan, especially with peanut butter! It is creamy, sweet, and works absolutely perfectly with the salty pretzels and peanut butter here. Use 1 cup!
  • Coconut Oil: Refined coconut oil is simply used in the melted chocolate to smooth it out and make for easier dipping! 1/2 tbsp is all you need.
  • Almond Milk: You can add a splash of almond milk to the peanut butter mixture if it seems to dry or thick for your liking.
  • Sprinkles: Festive sprinkles are added on top of these pretzel bites for a beautiful holiday flare!

How to make Homemade Oat Flour…

I make recipes with oat flour often and I always make my own at home! It is so so easy and much cheaper than buying at the grocery store.

Here’s how to do it!

  1. Add oats to a blender. Preferably a high speed blender!
  2. Blend until a fine flour forms.
  3. That’s literally it … so easy!!

Tip! I love to make a big batch of oat flour every time I make it. It is a super easy process, but honestly I like to take out the blender and clean it as least often as possible. And batch making my oat flour helps with that!

How to make Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites…

Not only are these little bites a delicious holiday treat, but they are also extremely low effort …. i’m talking no-bake and no-freeze. Which you gotta love during this hectic holiday season!

  1. Start by combining the peanut butter, pure maple syrup, and oat flour until a thick mixture forms.
  2. Roll small chunks of the peanut butter mixture into balls.  Flatten between two pretzels and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Once all the pretzel sandwiches have been made, melt your white chocolate.  Use a double boiler or microwave in 15 second increments (mixing after each) to melt.
  4. Dip each pretzel sandwich in the white chocolate and add the sprinkles.  Only dip a few pretzels at a time so the chocolate doesn’t harden up before you can add the sprinkles!
  5. Let set and enjoy!

Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Pretzels Tips…

Follow the tips below for the perfect peanut butter pretzels each & every time:

  • Melt your white chocolate in the microwave! Simply place the chocolate in a small bowl with the coconut oil and heat in the microwave for 15 second intervals, stirring in between each one until smooth and melted. I find this is always the easiest way to melt chocolate – less mess & kitchen tools are needed. It’s also easier to avoid burning your chocolate this way!
  • Dip only a few pretzels at a time! I recommend you do this to avoid the chocolate hardening before you can add sprinkles.
  • Let set when done! After the pretzel bites have been dipped in chocolate and decorated, let sit for about 30 minutes to an hour. This allows the chocolate to fully cool and prevents the sandwiches from falling apart.
  • Use natural peanut butter! Natural peanut butter is what I used when testing this recipe, thus that is what the measurements are correct for. Natural peanut butter is typically more runny and liquidy than regular peanut butter, so regular peanut butter will most likely work differently.
  • Customize your filling! Feel free to add more maple syrup to up the sweetness to your liking and add almond milk until you get a texture you are satisfied with.

What sprinkles should I use for these Holiday Pretzel Bites?

You can use any sprinkles you would like for these Holiday Pretzel Bites! I have made these with both a more classic white sprinkle look and a more fun red, green, and white combo. Either look beautiful in my opinion!

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites customizations & additions…

These pretzel bites are totally customizable! Here are some ideas:

  • Chocolate swap! I love the use of white chocolate in these holiday treats, but you could of course use milk, semi-sweet, or dark if preferred.
  • Different nut butter! The peanut butter in this recipe could be replaced with a different nut butter of your choice, if peanut butter isn’t your thing. Or if you have an allergy! Almond or cashew butter would both be delicious substitutions.
  • Add some nuts! Instead of or in addition to the sprinkles on top of these pretzels, try some crushed nuts or shredded coconut. It would add both a nice texture and delicious taste.
  • Switch up the pretzels! You could replace the classic mini pretzel bites with these square pretzel snaps or even these big ones. Giant chocolate peanut butter pretzel sandwich? Yes please!

How to store this recipe…

You can store Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites in an airtight container at room temperature for about 1 week!
