Ingredients in Peaches & Cream Oatmeal…

Peach oatmeal calls for a few wholesome ingredients and not too much sugar, like those instant oats packets! I’m talking fresh peaches, old fashioned oats, cinnamon, and a dash of cream. Dairy-free milk and creamer is also used here, which makes this healthy oatmeal recipe vegan! It’s also naturally sweetened, refined sugar free, and full of whole grains. What is not to love?

  • Oats: Old fashioned oats are used for this healthy peach oatmeal. You will need 1 cup! Quick oats or rolled oats should also work.
  • Almond Milk: I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk in this recipe, but you can really use any milk you have on hand, like regular dairy milk or oat milk. Add 1 cup.
  • Dairy Free Creamer: For the cream in this peaches and cream oatmeal, dairy free creamer is used. This makes this oatmeal dairy free and vegan, but if you’re not into that you can totally use regular heavy cream! Coconut milk is also a great option to add extra creaminess here. 2 tbsp is all you need.
  • Pure Maple Syrup: Pure maple syrup is used here to add the perfect touch of natural sweetness. Add 2 tbsp!
  • Peaches: Fresh, ripe peaches are the true star of the show in this oatmeal recipe! You will need 1/2 cup of chopped peaches, so about 1 peach.
  • Vanilla Extract, Cinnamon, & Salt: For all things delicious flavor add 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to this peach oatmeal.

Peaches & Cream Oatmeal FAQs…

Can I used canned peaches in this oatmeal?

I haven’t tested it, but I think you can definitely use canned peaches in this recipe. That is a great idea especially if it is not peach season! However if you are using canned peaches, since they are already a little soft you may want to add them to the oatmeal after the oats have already been cooked. This way they won’t get too mushy!

If you use canned peaches let me know how it goes!

Can I swap in a different fruit for peaches here?

You can totally swap in a different fruit for the peaches here. It would of course not be peaches and cream oatmeal anymore, but it would still be delicious! I think berries, banana, and apple would all be great choices. Strawberries would be extra fun because then you’d have strawberries and cream oatmeal. Which is another great flavor!

What kind of oats should I use in this healthy recipe?

I used old fashioned oats in this recipe. However, I’m sure other types of oats like quick cook, rolled, or even steel cut would work as well. You may just have to alter the cooking time a bit!
