Ingredients needed for Honey Soy Sheet Pan Chicken Thigh Dinner…

This one pan dinner is made with simple ingredients and simple seasonings! The result is an equally easy and delicious meal.

  • Chicken Thighs: Honey Soy Chicken Thighs call for 4 boneless and skinless chicken thighs.
  • Sesame Oil: This Asian inspired recipe uses sesame oil. It adds a more authentic flavor, but you could swap for olive oil if that’s what you have on hand. Add 2 1/2 tbsp!
  • Honey: 1/4 cup of honey gives a delicious sweetness to these sheet pan chicken thighs. So good!
  • Soy Sauce: Can’t have honey soy chicken without some soy sauce. I use low sodium, but I’m sure regular would work too! You’ll need 1/4 cup.
  • Red Onion, Green Beans, & Fresh Garlic: 1 small red onion, 12 oz green beans, and 3 minced garlic cloves make up the vegetable mixture used in this easy sheet pan dinner. They pair deliciously with the chicken!
  • Ginger & Garlic Powder: Ground ginger and garlic powder are the simple seasonings needed for this recipe. Add 1/2 tsp ginger and 1 tsp garlic powder.
  • Salt & Pepper: Lastly, add salt and pepper to taste as always!

Tip! Swap the soy sauce with Tamari for a gluten free dinner.

Sheet Pan Chicken Thighs

Asian Marinade for Chicken Thighs…

This sheet pan dinner calls for an Asian inspired marinade. It is made with soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ground ginger, and garlic powder. It makes the chicken thighs super flavorful, juicy, and delicious!

The marinade is easy to make and can be used for different recipes too! Like meatballs, salmon, or just chicken breasts.

How long do I marinate Honey Soy Chicken Thighs for?

The longer you marinate the chicken thighs for, the more flavorful and tasty they will be!

I recommend you marinate for at least 30 minutes. But you can of course do so for more or less time. If you don’t have the time, simply marinating the chicken while you prepare the veggies and the rice for this meal will work. Or on the other hand, you could let the chicken marinate overnight. Whatever fits into your life and works for you!

Honey Soy Chicken Thigh tips…

Follow the tips below for the perfect sheet pan chicken thighs each & every time.

  • Broil at the end! I recommend broiling the chicken thighs after baking them for the instructed time. This will help get the golden, crispy outside. Broil for about 1-2 minutes making sure the chicken does not burn!
  • Switch up the veggies! If the vegetables used in this recipe are not your favorite, switch them up. Broccoli or just a stir fry mixture would be great alternatives!
  • Marinate for at least 30 minutes! The longer you marinate the chicken thighs, the tastier they will be. I recommend at least 30 minutes to really let the flavors develop!
  • Use the leftover marinade! I love to use the leftover marinade her as extra dripping sauce. Make sure to heat up thoroughly on the stove to cook off anything leftover from the raw chicken. I included more detailed instructions on how to do so below!
